About

Folis Jones Racing has been around for the better part of the last 40 years.  It was started by Folis Jones when he was racing formula cars in the 60’s, 70’s and 80’s.  After Folis’ retirement from racing in 1989 FJR sat dormant waiting to be ressurected.

In 2006 FJR was brought back to life when Folis and his wife Evelyn returned to the world of road racing.  While Folis has not been actively competing in any road racing classes he has been instructing in the National Auto Sport Assosiation’s(NASA) High Performance Driver Education(HPDE) program.

FJR currently has four permanant members;

Folis Jones, Driver, #57 TTS Birkin S-3 Lotus Super Seven replica

Evelyn Jones, Team Principle

Jason Jedrey, Crew Chief

Doug Arcidino, Driver, #56 TTE 1995 Honda Civic SI

Friends of FJR include General George Hillard III(Ret.), Russ Strough and Michael Dougherty.

Hello Folis and Evelyn,

Just a short note to thank you and the rest of the Birkinistias for welcoming Louise and me at VIR this weekend.

For us, the whole thing was a spur of the moment deal. I periodically call Dick to talk about Birkins and life in general and picked this past Friday at random.

When he told me that he was actually at VIR instead of Texas, I asked him for the details, which he provided, and he invited me down. I had a prior commitment Saturday afternoon, but I was able to go from there straight to Danville. I got in around 1900 (Navy lingo), so I wasn’t able to get to the track on Saturday.

Louise was a little hesitant to go, but Evelyn made her (and me, for that matter) right at home and she had a great time. Please thank Evelyn for us. Also, please thank all of the other Birkinites in the group. I know that we were ‘walk in’s, but they ALL treated us great.

I’ve been talking to Dick for a year or so, really ever since I sold him MY Birkin, which he in turn sold to David Kirk in Bozeman, MT, about having another go at a Birkin once the trauma from the first one recedes into the hazes of memory and if I can scrape up the bucks. Our visit and the way you folks treated Louise will make ’selling’ her a BUNCH easier.

Thanks again.

Hello there, Big F !
Sorry I lost touch again, things have been a bit more hectic these days. Would like to catch up with you after all these years, as i still love racing & good people. I reconnected with Doris after 19 years – what a story there. Drop me a line when you have time.
Be well,
